Course Content:
This 4 hour New Parent and Baby first aid training course will cover the essential practices needed to deal with an emergency situation regarding an infant or young child. Upon successful completion of the course the candidates will be awarded a Baby and Child First Aid certificate. We recommend that you refresh your skills after 12 months.
- Primary Survey
- DRABCBasic Life Support (CPR)
- Unconscious casualties
- Choking
- External bleeding
- Shock & minor injuries
- Anaphylaxis
- Bones, muscles & joints
- Head injuries
- Nose bleeds
- Fever and Febrile convulsions
- Extreme temperatures

Who Should Attend?
This course is suitable for anyone caring for a baby or young child including parents, grandparents, carers or babysitters. It is created to give the learners confidence to deal with real life situations in order to provide the best possible assistance in case of an accident.
This course is not appropriate for anyone requiring First aid training for the workplace. If you care for a child professionally, our Paediatric First Aid courses meet the requirements for workplace first aid.
